The St. Stephen's Episcopal Spartans (Austin, TX) basketball nipped the host Burnet Bulldogs (Burnet, TX), 73-69 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Spartans (8-3) will now prepare for their test against Salado (Salado, TX). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 4-5 record. In their last test, Salado was tipped by Georgetown (Georgetown, TX), 58-34, in a non-league test.
The Bulldogs now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cedar Creek for a non-league contest on Friday, December 8. Burnet will battle a Eagles team coming off a 89-21 non-league win over IDEA Montopolis (Austin, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 10-3.
