La Grange Leopards (La Grange, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Columbus Cardinals (Columbus, TX), 52-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, La Grange upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Leopards travel to Madisonville (Madisonville, TX) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 7. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Madisonville lost 53-52 in their recent non-league bout against Crockett (Crockett, TX)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Mumford Mustangs (Mumford, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 7. Columbus will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 47-38 non-league win over Hearne (Hearne, TX).
