Minnesota High School Basketball - Mesabi East topped by Deer River

The Deer River Warriors basketball team scored 82 points and restricted the host Mesabi East Giants to 68 in the Warriors league victory on Tuesday.
The Warriors now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nashwauk-Keewatin for a A Section 7 contest on Friday, December 8. Deer River will battle a Spartans team coming off a 112-68 non-league loss to Red Lake (Red Lake, MN). The Spartans record now stands at 0-2.
The Giants (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Proctor (Proctor, MN). The Rails come into the AA Section 7 contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Proctor prevailed over Greenway (Coleraine, MN), 57-52, in a league contest.
