Millington Cardinals (Millington, MI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Genesee Christian Soldiers (Burton, MI), 61-59 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Millington upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Carrollton (Carrollton, MI) to play the Cavaliers in a Tri-Valley - Blue bout on Friday, December 8. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a record of 0-4. Carrollton lost 76-44 in their recent non-league bout against Powers Catholic (Flint, MI)

Next up, the Soldiers play the Beecher Buccaneers (Flint, MI) in a Genesee Area - Red bout, on Friday, December 8. Genesee Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record.
