Somerset Briar Jumpers (Somerset, KY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting West Jessamine Colts (Nicholasville, KY), 64-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Somerset upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Briar Jumpers host Rockcastle County (Mt. Vernon, KY) to play the Rockets in a District 47 bout on Friday, December 8. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Rockcastle County won 66-49 in their recent non-league bout against Danville (Danville, KY)

Next up, the Colts play the Sayre Spartans (Lexington, KY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. West Jessamine will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 59-58 non-league win over Christian Academy-Louisville (Louisville, KY).
