Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the West Point-Beemer Cadets (West Point, NE) and the visiting Stanton Mustangs (Stanton, NE), saw West Point-Beemer's basketball team trounce Stanton by a tally of 61-31.
The Cadets now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Bend Central for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 7. West Point-Beemer will battle a Tigers team coming off a 51-49 non-league loss to Malcolm (Malcolm, NE). The Tigers record now stands at 1-2.
The Mustangs (0-3) will now prepare for their battle against Norfolk Catholic (Norfolk, NE). The Knights come into the C2 District 6 battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Norfolk Catholic was overwhelmed by Gross Catholic (Omaha, NE), 60-56, in a non-league battle.
