Waurika Eagles (Waurika, OK) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Temple Tigers (Temple, OK), 51-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Waurika upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Eagles host Central (Marlow, OK) to play the Bronchos in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 7. The Bronchos go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Central lost 69-55 in their recent non-league bout against Ninnekah (Ninnekah, OK)

Next up, the Tigers play the Frederick Bombers (Frederick, OK) in a Southern Eight bout, on Monday, December 11. Temple will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
