Hooks Hornets (Hooks, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Ashdown Panthers (Ashdown, AR), 69-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hooks upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The Hornets host Pewitt (Omaha, TX) to clash with the Brahmas in a 3A Region II District 14 bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Brahmas go into the bout with a record of 2-9.

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Mena Bearcats (Mena, AR) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 6. Ashdown will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 51-41 league loss to Fountain Lake (Hot Springs National Park, AR).
