Nettleton Tigers (Nettleton, MS) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Houston Hilltoppers (Houston, MS), 53-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Nettleton upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Tishomingo County (Iuka, MS) to play the Braves in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 7. The Braves come into the bout with a record of 7-2. Tishomingo County won 56-21 in their recent league bout against Shannon (Shannon, MS)

Next up, the Hilltoppers play the Houlka Wildcats (Houlka, MS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Houston will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record.
