North Central Thunderbirds (Farmersburg, IN) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the host North Daviess Cougars (Elnora, IN), 47-37 in a league challenge.

With the victory, North Central improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds host White River Valley (Switz City, IN) to confront the Wolverines in a Southwestern Indiana challenge on Thursday, December 7. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 3-6. White River Valley won 46-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Loogootee (Loogootee, IN)

Next up, the Cougars confront the Barr-Reeve Vikings (Montgomery, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 7. North Daviess will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 47-30 league loss to Wood Memorial (Oakland City, IN).
