Maryland High School Basketball - Walter Johnson knocked off by Richard Montgomery

The Richard Montgomery Rockets basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Walter Johnson Wildcats to 37 in the Rockets league triumph on Tuesday.

The Rockets now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wootton for a non-league contest on Friday, December 8. Richard Montgomery will meet a Patriots team coming off a 55-31 non-league win over Magruder (Rockville, MD). The Patriots record now stands at 1-0.

The Wildcats (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Kennedy (Silver Spring, MD). The Cavaliers enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Kennedy was outscored by Seneca Valley (Germantown, MD), 67-20, in a non-league contest.
