Berea Pirates (Berea, KY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Jackson County Generals (McKee, KY), 35-24 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Berea upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Pirates travel to Phelps (Phelps, KY) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Generals play the Breathitt County Bobcats (Jackson, KY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 7. Jackson County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
