Virginia High School Basketball - William Monroe can't hold off Culpeper County

The William Monroe Dragons basketball team (Stanardsville, VA), was nudged 40-39 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Culpeper County Blue Devils (Culpeper, VA)

The Blue Devils now possess a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Orange County for a non-league battle on Wednesday, December 6. Culpeper County will battle a Fighting Hornets team coming off a 59-31 non-league win over Eastern View (Culpeper, VA). The Fighting Hornets record now stands at 2-1.

The Dragons (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Madison County (Madison, VA). The Mountaineers come into the non-league battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, Madison County was nudged by East Rockingham (Elkton, VA), 49-29, in a non-league battle.
