In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Marmaton Valley Wildcats basketball team scored a close 47-46 triumph over the Hartford Jaguars.
The Wildcats (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Madison (Madison, KS). The Bulldogs go into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Madison nipped Yates Center (Yates Center, KS), 59-17, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Jaguars confront the Altoona-Midway Jets (Buffalo, KS) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 6. Hartford will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
