In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Kea'au Cougars basketball team scored a big 63-29 triumph over the St. Joseph Cardinals.

The Cougars (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Laupahoehoe (Laupahoehoe, HI). The Seasiders go into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Laupahoehoe smashed Christian Liberty Academy (Kea'au, HI), 72-42, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Cardinals confront the Christian Liberty Academy Canefire (Kea'au, HI) in a Freelance contest, on Tuesday, December 10. St. Joseph will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Canefire go into the contest with a 0-3 record after their 92-29 non-league loss to Kealakehe (Kailua-Kona, HI).
