The Lubbock Westerners basketball team scored 65 points and limited the host Sweetwater Mustangs to 53 in the Westerners non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Westerners now possess a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Bel Air for a non-league game on Friday, December 6. Lubbock will confront a Highlanders team coming off a 60-54 non-league loss to Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM). The Highlanders record now stands at 7-5.

With the loss, Sweetwater falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Idalou (Idalou, TX) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league game on Friday, December 6. The Wildcats go into the game with a record of 0-5. Idalou lost 53-47 in their recent non-league game against Farwell (Farwell, TX)
