Arizona High School Basketball - Payson crushes Apache Junction

December 5, 2024: Apache Junction, AZ 85120

The Payson Longhorns (Payson, AZ) basketball crushed the host Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ), 81-30 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Longhorns now possess a 3-0 record. They play next when they host Rancho Solano Prep for a non-league bout on Monday, December 9. Payson will play a Mustangs team coming off a 50-9 league win over Red Rock (Sedona, AZ). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Apache Junction falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Prospectors host Miami (Miami, AZ) to play the Vandals in a non-league bout on Friday, December 6. The Vandals go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Miami lost 70-46 in their recent non-league bout against Mesquite (Gilbert, AZ)
