The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Winthrop Ramblers (Winthrop, ME) and the visiting Dirigo Cougars (Dixfield, ME), observed Winthrop's basketball team knock off Dirigo by a score of 44-28.

The Ramblers (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Monmouth Academy (Monmouth, ME). The Mustangs come into the C South challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Monmouth Academy dropped by Maranacook (Readfield, ME), 46-41, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Madison Bulldogs (Madison, ME) in a C South challenge, on Saturday, December 7. Dirigo will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
