In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys basketball team scored a good 52-37 win over the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs.
The Ospreys (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Westover Christian Academy (Danville, VA). The Bulldogs come into the VISAA Division III contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Westover Christian Academy was topped by Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA), 52-16, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, December 9. Eastern Montgomery will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Spartans come into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 79-27 non-league loss to Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA).
