The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Leon Cougars (Jewett, TX) and the visiting Palestine Wildcats (Palestine, TX), observed Leon's basketball team overcome Palestine by a margin of 42-31.

The Cougars (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Bland (Merit, TX). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 5-0 record. In their last challenge, Bland defeated Blue Ridge (Blue Ridge, TX), 63-33, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Wolfe City Wolves (Wolfe City, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 6. Palestine will attempt to better on its 4-9 season record.
