Archbishop Carroll Lions (Washington, DC) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Sidwell Friends Quakers (Washington, DC), 52-51 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Archbishop Carroll advances its record to 2-0 on the year. The Lions travel to Neumann-Goretti (Philadelphia, PA) to meet the Saints in a non-league match on Sunday, December 8. The Saints enter the match with a record of 0-0.
The Quakers now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Georgetown Prep for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 10. Sidwell Friends will meet a Little Hoyas squad coming off a 65-56 non-league loss to DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD). The Little Hoyas record now stands at 0-1.
