The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Westlake Thunder (Saratoga Springs, UT) and the host Maple Mountain Golden Eagles (Spanish Fork, UT), observed Westlake's basketball team knock off Maple Mountain by a score of 63-54.

The Thunder (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Snow Canyon (St. George, UT). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Snow Canyon was knocked off by Mountain View (Orem, UT), 53-44, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Golden Eagles encounter the Dixie Flyers (St. George, UT) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 6. Maple Mountain will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record.
