New Mexico High School Basketball - Belen nips Manzano

December 5, 2025: Belen, NM 87002

In Friday's non-league contest, the host Belen Eagles basketball team scored a close 55-54 win over the Manzano Monarchs.

The Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Moriarty (Moriarty, NM). The Pintos enter the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Moriarty tipped Laguna Acoma (New Laguna, NM), 61-58, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Monarchs battle the Sandia Prep Sundevils (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 6. Manzano will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Sundevils go into the contest with a 2-0 record after their 70-56 non-league win over Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM).
