Texas High School Basketball - Nixon sneaks past Boerne-Champion

The Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) basketball edged the visiting Boerne-Champion Chargers (Boerne, TX), 51-50 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alexander for a non-league test on Saturday, December 6. Nixon will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 56-50 non-league win over Vela (Edinburg, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-1.

The Chargers (5-5) will now prepare for their test against United South (Laredo, TX). The Panthers come into the non-league test with a 10-1 record. In their last test, United South held off Palmview (La Joya, TX), 56-42, in a non-league test.
