Texas High School Basketball - Lubbock-Cooper held off by Coronado

In Friday's non-league test, the Coronado Thunderbirds (El Paso, TX) basketball team edged the host Lubbock-Cooper Pirates (Lubbock, TX), by a tally of 45-39.

The Thunderbirds now possess a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Odessa for a non-league bout on Friday, December 5. Coronado will play a Bronchos team coming off a 44-42 non-league loss to Creekview (Carrollton, TX). The Bronchos record now stands at 6-4.

With the loss, Lubbock-Cooper falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Cleburne (Cleburne, TX) to play the Yellowjackets in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 6. The Yellowjackets go into the test with a record of 4-7. Cleburne lost 40-37 in their recent non-league test against Perryton (Perryton, TX)
