Colorado High School Basketball - South Park nudges Gilpin County

December 5, 2025: Fairplay, CO 80440

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the South Park Burros (Fairplay, CO) and the visiting Gilpin County Eagles (Black Hawk, CO), witnessed South Park's basketball squad hold off Gilpin County by a count of 42-37.

With the victory, South Park advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Burros travel to Conifer (Conifer, CO) to meet the Lobos in a non-league battle on Saturday, December 6. The Lobos come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Conifer won 67-56 in their recent non-league challenge against Clear Creek (Evergreen, CO)

In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Conifer Lobos (Conifer, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 6. Gilpin County will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Lobos come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 67-56 non-league win over Clear Creek (Evergreen, CO).
