Texas High School Basketball - Grand Prairie sneaks past St. Mark's

The Grand Prairie Gophers (Grand Prairie, TX) basketball edged the host St. Mark's Lions (Dallas, TX), 56-54 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Gophers now possess a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to Sachse for a non-league bout on Saturday, December 6. Grand Prairie will play a Mustangs team coming off a 74-50 non-league win over Hillcrest (Dallas, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-6.

With the loss, St. Mark's moves to 7-2 on the season. The Lions travel to Emerson (McKinney, TX) to encounter the Mavericks in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 11. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a record of 5-7. Emerson lost 70-60 in their recent non-league challenge against Panther Creek (Frisco, TX)
