The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Woodward Academy War Eagles (College Park, GA) and the host Grayson County Cougars (Leitchfield, KY), witnessed Woodward Academy's basketball squad hold off Grayson County by a count of 77-72.

With the victory, Woodward Academy advances its record to 4-4 on the year. The War Eagles travel to Germantown (Madison, MS) to meet the Mavericks in a non-league match on Saturday, December 6. The Mavericks enter the match with a record of 8-0. Germantown won 52-42 in their recent non-league match against Terry (Terry, MS)

The Cougars now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ohio County for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 9. Grayson County will battle a Eagles team coming off a 77-52 non-league win over Breckinridge County (Harned, KY). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.
