The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Hot Springs Trojans (Hot Springs, AR) and the visiting Maumelle Hornets (Maumelle, AR), observed Hot Springs's basketball team knock off Maumelle by a score of 65-55.

The Trojans (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Sheridan (Sheridan, AR). The Yellowjackets enter the 5A South battle with a 1-1 record.

The Hornets now own a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Beebe for a 5A Central battle on Friday, December 12. Maumelle will meet a Badgers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Westside (Jonesboro, AR). The Badgers record now stands at 0-3.
