In Friday's non-league contest, the host Umpqua Valley Christian Monarchs basketball team scored a big 52-27 triumph over the Triangle Lake Lakers.
The Monarchs (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Myrtle Point (Myrtle Point, OR). The Bobcats go into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Myrtle Point smashed Monroe (Monroe, OR), 55-43, in a non-league contest.
