With the victory, Athens Academy advances its record to 5-0 on the year. The Spartans travel to Oglethorpe County (Lexington, GA) to face the Patriots in a A D1 Region 8 match on Tuesday, December 9. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 4-3. Oglethorpe County lost 50-48 in their recent non-league contest against Stephens County (Toccoa, GA)

In their next game, the Tigers confront the Hart County Bulldogs (Hartwell, GA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 6. Washington-Wilkes will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 61-50 non-league win over Morgan County (Madison, GA).
