The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Chester Volcanoes (Chester, CA) and the visiting Mt. Shasta Bears (Mt. Shasta, CA), observed Chester's basketball team knock off Mt. Shasta by a score of 46-34.
The Volcanoes (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Loyalton (Loyalton, CA). The Grizzlies come into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Loyalton prevailed over Quincy (Quincy, CA), 56-32, in a non-league challenge.
The Bears now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Quincy for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 6. Mt. Shasta will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 45-44 non-league win over Hamilton (Hamilton City, CA). The Trojans record now stands at 2-1.
