Maypearl Panthers (Maypearl, TX) backers went home pleased Friday as they observed their basketball team edge the visiting Itasca Wampus Cats (Itasca, TX), 39-36 in a non-league contest.
The Panthers (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Venus (Venus, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 6-9 record. In their last contest, Venus edged Maypearl (Maypearl, TX), 45-28, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Wampus Cats battle the Lake Worth Bullfrogs (Lake Worth, TX) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 6. Itasca will attempt to better on its 9-6 season record. The Bullfrogs come into the contest with a 11-5 record after their 57-32 non-league win over Western Hills (Fort Worth, TX).
