In Friday's non-league test, the Southwest Dragons (San Antonio, TX) basketball squad edged the host Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX), by a tally of 42-39.

The Dragons now possess a 12-7 record. They play next when they travel to Alexander for a non-league bout on Saturday, December 6.

With the loss, Nixon falls to 9-10 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Marshall (San Antonio, TX) to play the Rams in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 6.
