The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mescalero Apache Chiefs (Mescalero, NM) and the host New Mexico Military Institute Colts (Roswell, NM), observed Mescalero Apache's basketball team overwhelm New Mexico Military Institute by a margin of 43-16.

The Chiefs (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against San Jon (San Jon, NM). The Coyotes enter the non-league battle with a 0-0 record.

The Colts now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Moriarty for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 9. New Mexico Military Institute will meet a Pintos squad coming off a 45-35 non-league loss to Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM). The Pintos record now stands at 0-3.
