California High School Basketball - Las Plumas holds off West Valley

December 5, 2025: Cottonwood, CA 96022

The Las Plumas Thunderbirds basketball team scored 40 points and limited the host West Valley Eagles to 36 in the Thunderbirds non-league triumph on Friday.

The Thunderbirds now have a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Quincy for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 9. Las Plumas will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 69-36 non-league loss to Durham (Durham, CA). The Trojans record now stands at 1-1.

The Eagles (1-3) will now prepare for their outing against Willows (Willows, CA). The Honkers enter the non-league outing with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Willows was edged by Biggs (Biggs, CA), 54-21, in a non-league game.
