The Avon Eagles basketball team scored 75 points and held the visiting Brookside Cardinals to 29 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Eagles now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Elyria for a Southwestern match on Friday, December 9. Avon will meet a Pioneers team coming off a 66-58 non-league win over Bay (Bay Village, OH). The Pioneers record now stands at 1-1.
With the defeat, Brookside moves to 2-1 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Keystone (La Grange, OH) to meet the Wildcats in a Lorain County 8 match on Friday, December 9. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 2-2. Keystone lost 40-39 in their recent non-league match against Norwalk (Norwalk, OH)
