In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Derby Panthers basketball team scored a tight 74-68 triumph over the McPherson Bullpups.

In their next game, the Panthers meet the Andover Central Jaguars (Andover, KS) in a non-league match, on Friday, December 9. Derby will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Jaguars enter the match with a 1-1 record after their 70-44 non-league win over Haysville Campus (Wichita, KS).
