The Leland Comets basketball team scored 35 points and restricted the visiting Forest Area Warriors to 34 in the Comets non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Comets now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Suttons Bay for a Northwest contest on Friday, December 9. Leland will battle a Norsemen team coming off a 72-34 non-league win over Grand Traverse Academy (Traverse City, MI). The Norsemen record now stands at 1-0.

The Warriors (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against St. Mary Cathedral (Gaylord, MI). The Snowbirds come into the Ski-Valley contest with a 1-1 record.
