Texas High School Basketball - Sterling City knocked off by Garden City

The Garden City Bearkats basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Sterling City Eagles to 42 in the Bearkats non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bearkats now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Buena Vista for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 8. Garden City will battle a Longhorns team coming off a 31-26 non-league win over Sands (Ackerly, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 4-1.

The Eagles (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Rotan (Rotan, TX). The Yellowhammers enter the non-league contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, Rotan ran past Patton Springs (Afton, TX), 59-48, in a non-league contest.
