Santa Teresa Desert Warriors (Santa Teresa, NM) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Hatch Valley Bears (Hatch, NM), 53-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Santa Teresa upgrades its record to 2-4 on the season. The Desert Warriors travel to Lovington (Lovington, NM) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Lovington lost 64-26 in their recent non-league bout against Clovis (Clovis, NM)

Next up, the Bears clash with the Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers (Las Cruces, NM) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 10. Hatch Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The SonBlazers go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 33-32 non-league loss to Cloudcroft (Cloudcroft, NM).
