Nebraska High School Basketball - Haxtun nips Perkins County

Haxtun Fightin' Bulldogs (Haxtun, CO) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE), 51-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Haxtun upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Fightin' Bulldogs travel to Caliche (Iliff, CO) to play the Buffaloes in a 3A/2A Lower Platte bout on Saturday, December 10. The Buffaloes come into the bout with a record of 2-0.

Next up, the Plainsmen play the Kimball Longhorns (Kimball, NE) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Perkins County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Longhorns come into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 57-39 non-league loss to Leyton (Dalton, NE).
