St. James Saints (St. James, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva Panthers (New Richland, MN), 73-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. James upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season.

Next up, the Panthers play the United South Central Rebels (Wells, MN) in a A Section 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
