The Portland Panthers basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Springfield Yellow Jackets to 52 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northeast for a non-league contest on Friday, December 9. Portland will meet a Eagles team coming off a 81-69 non-league win over Dickson County (Dickson, TN). The Eagles record now stands at 4-2.

The Yellow Jackets (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Greenbrier (Greenbrier, TN). The Bobcats enter the non-league contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Greenbrier was defeated by Cheatham County Central (Ashland City, TN), 66-57, in a non-league contest.
