United Lions (Armagh, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Punxsutawney Chucks (Punxsutawney, PA), 64-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, United upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Lions host Purchase Line (Commodore, PA) to play the Red Dragons in a Heritage bout on Thursday, December 8. The Red Dragons go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Purchase Line lost 51-32 in their recent non-league bout against Harmony Area (Westover, PA)

Next up, the Chucks play the Clearfield Bison (Clearfield, PA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Punxsutawney will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Bison go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 53-49 league win over Philipsburg-Osceola (Philipsburg, PA).
