Aquilla Cougars (Aquilla, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Meridian Yellowjackets (Meridian, TX), 59-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Aquilla upgrades its record to 9-0 on the season. The Cougars travel to Avalon (Avalon, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 8. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Avalon lost 41-25 in their recent league bout against Coolidge (Coolidge, TX)

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Graford Rabbits (Graford, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. Meridian will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Rabbits go into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 36-29 non-league win over Lingleville (Lingleville, TX).
