Hanna Golden Eagles (Brownsville, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Port Isabel Tarpons (Port Isabel, TX), 43-42 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hanna upgrades its record to 10-10 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles travel to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (San Juan, TX) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 4-4. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo lost 50-12 in their recent non-league bout against San Benito (San Benito, TX)

Next up, the Tarpons play the Harmony School of Innovation Wildcats (Brownsville, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 32 bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Port Isabel will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record.
