The Hazleton Area Cougars basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Scranton Knights to 41 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pottsville for a non-league contest on Friday, December 9. Hazleton Area will meet a Crimson Tide team coming off a 50-32 non-league loss to Eastern Lebanon County (Myerstown, PA). The Crimson Tide record now stands at 0-1.

The Knights (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Susquehanna (Susquehanna, PA). The Sabers enter the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
