Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Lyons-Decatur Northeast Cougars (Lyons, NE) and the visiting Walthill Blujays (Walthill, NE), saw Lyons-Decatur Northeast's basketball squad hold off Walthill by a tally of 42-35.
With the victory, Lyons-Decatur Northeast improves its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Cougars host Cedar Bluffs (Cedar Bluffs, NE) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 0-2.
Next up, the Blujays confront the Whiting Warriors (Whiting, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 9. Walthill will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 59-19 non-league loss to Brownell Talbot (Omaha, NE).
