Roosevelt Rough Riders (Los Angeles, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Mayfield Cubs (Pasadena, CA), 32-29 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Roosevelt upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Rough Riders host Huntington Park (Huntington Park, CA) to play the Spartans in a Eastern bout on Wednesday, December 7. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Huntington Park lost 67-38 in their recent non-league bout against San Pedro (San Pedro, CA)

Next up, the Cubs play the San Gabriel Academy Eagles (San Gabriel, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. Mayfield will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 38-14 non-league win over Bethel Christian (Riverside, CA).
